Broadband
ADSL
ADSL
uses a wide range of frequencies over an existing
telephone line to deliver much higher speeds
than a standard 56k modem (between 10 and 40
times faster). It is also possible to use your
phone while online. ADSL ("Asymmetric
Digital Subscriber Line") is a type of
DSL. It works by splitting your existing telephone
line signal into two, one for voice and the
other for data. IDN ADSL can work at up to
2Mbps download. Upload speeds are 256Kbps on
all products and hence this is why it is "asymmetric",
because the download speed is different to
the upload speed.
IDN
offer a full range of ADSL services with 256k,
512k, 1Mb and 2Mb options with 50:1 and 20:1
contention ratios available. To ensure our

SDSL
SDSL utilizes the same Broadband technology as ADSL but unlike
Broadband ADSL, this service enables uploads
to process at the same speed as it downloads,
making it perfect for running your own e-mail
server or web services. SDSL requires its own
dedicated PSTN line so it is not possible to
use your phone in conjunction with SDSL. SDSL,
or 'Synchronous Digital Subscriber Line', empowers
you with connectivity and capability of a leased
line but at a fraction of the cost.
IDN offer a full range of SDSL services with 512k, 1Mb and 2Mb options and
with a 10:1 contention ratio.
